Description

The FollowMe Plus lamp is the larger sibling of the widely accoladed and beloved FollowMe lamp. Conceived back in 2014 and already considered a contemporary classic, the FollowMe lamp was awarded the 2016 Red Dot award in the lighting design category due to its mould-breaking and meticulous combination of stylishness and handheld practicality. Three years later, designer Inma Bermúdez and Marset decided to launch a larger version of the FollowMe portable table lamp, maintaining all the award-winning functional and aesthetic aspects but offering a larger size and greater light output. 

Although the FollowMe Plus lamp is almost twice the size of its smaller sibling, it is worth noting that it manages to conserve the generous battery life that the latter is known for. The light intensity can be adjusted by using the three-stage brass dimmer located at the base. Depending on the setting chosen with the dimmer, the FollowMe Plus lamp will function as a trustworthy cable-free light source for 5, 10 or 20 hours. Same as in the smaller version, the in-built battery can be fully charged in 10 hours. This can be easily done with the (included) USB charger. 

Behind the product

The FollowMe Plus lamp also maintains the elegant silhouette of its smaller predecessor, which is mainly achieved through the elegant design of its oak-veneered plywood handle. A core aesthetic element of the design, the handle exceeds mere functionality by working as an airy frame for the elegant opal diffuser and the white polycarbonate body. As in the smaller version, the diffuser can be tilted so as to direct better the gentle LED light it emits. Besides being a cosy bedroom or living room table lamp, the enhanced light output of the FollowMe Plus lamp makes it an even better light source for outdoor night-time activities, such as terrace dining and garden parties.
